Faber Drive Celebrates Nearly Two Decades of Breakthrough Debut Album

Seven Second Surgery (19 ¼ Anniversary Edition) out May 1
[Issued by: Strut Entertainment] March 23, 2026. TORONTO, ON – JUNO-nominated pop-punk band Faber Drive is celebrating the 19 ¼ anniversary of their debut album, Seven Second Surgery, with a special reissue titled Seven Second Surgery (19 ¼ Anniversary Edition), set for release on May 1, 2026, via 604 Records. In support of the release, Faber Drive will hit the road this fall for a national Canadian tour.
Originally released in 2007, Seven Second Surgery marked a defining moment for Faber Drive that established them as a staple Canadian band. Nearly two decades later, the anniversary edition pays tribute to the album that launched their career, while offering longtime fans a fresh way to experience the music that shaped a generation of worldwide Faber Drive music lovers.
Seven Second Surgery has remained a fan favourite, accumulating over 90 million streams and producing the Gold-certified single “When I’m With You” and the Platinum-certified single “Tongue Tied.” The 19 ¼ Anniversary Edition also revisits a few beloved tracks, but as fresh new acoustic recordings, including “Second Chance”, “Tongue Tied”, and “Time Bomb.” The release will also feature a previously unreleased bonus track, “Died In Your Arms,” arriving early on April 10, 2026.
“We missed the 19-year mark and didn’t want to wait until 20. So we figured 19 ¼ felt perfectly on brand for us haha,” said Faber Drive’s frontman, Dave Faber.
Hailing from British Columbia, Faber Drive formed in 2004 and quickly became known for their high-energy, fan-driven live shows. Over the years, the band has toured coast to coast relentlessly, sharing the stage with acts such as Nickelback, Simple Plan, Sum 41, Billy Talent, Hinder and many more. Their breakout single “Second Chance” earned a win and additional nomination at the 2008 Canadian Radio Music Awards. The album’s singles, “Tongue Tied” and “When I’m With You,” climbed into the Top 5 on Top 40 radio and now have over 50 million streams, solidifying the band’s place in Canada’s music scene.
“Seven Second Surgery holds a special place in our hearts as this was our first experience working with a real producer (Joey Moi), amazing songwriters and hearing crowds sing every word to our songs. From the first time we heard “Second Chance’ on 99.3 The Fox to riding our big wheels into MuchMusic, we have some of the best memories of our lives from this era,” said Dave Faber. We can’t wait for our fans to hear these new acoustic recordings, and we hope they enjoy them as much as we do.”
Bringing the album full circle, Faber Drive will take the 19 ¼ Anniversary Edition across Canada this fall on a national tour, performing the album alongside their biggest hits. Tour stops include cities all across the country, such as Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, and more, marking a full coast-to-coast celebration of the album’s legacy.
The artist pre-sale runs Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 10 AM (local time) through Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 10 PM (local time).
