Exclusive Premiere: Marianas Trench Bassist Mike Ayley and Wife Emily Share New Video for “The World Needs Christmas” | Aesthetic Magazine

Mike Ayley, bassist from the double Platinum selling band Marianas Trench and his wife Emily have released a new  video  for their first Christmas single “The World Needs Christmas”, which you can watch exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.

The video shows an intimate performance through the ages – with Emily and Mike dressed in holiday garb from several decades, emphasizing their long-lasting love for the holidays.

We would love for Aesthetic Magazine to exclusively premiere the video for ‘The World Needs Christmas on November 17’. We also have Emily & Mike available for interviews about the single if that is of interest.

The single marks Mike’s first project outside of Marianas Trench, and Emily’s singing debut – although you wouldn’t know it, with their charming harmonies and clear vocal chemistry, the couple sounds like they’ve been recording together for years

Since 2004, Mike has been the bassist for chart-topping Vancouver pop-rock quartet Marianas Trench. The band erupted onto the Canadian music scene in 2006 with the hit singles “Say Anything” and “Shake Tramp” from their debut album, Fix Me. They have gone on to release multiple gold and platinum-certified singles — including “Cross My Heart,” “All to Myself,” Desperate Measures” and “Stutter” — and two platinum albums: Masterpiece Theatre (2009) and Ever After (2011). Ever After helped Marianas Trench win its first JUNO Award, for Group of the Year, in 2013. The band has received four other JUNO nominations and 22 MuchMusic Video Awards nominations and 5 wins.
