Vox Rea release cozy video for “When You Go” | Melodic Magazine

Last month, the mellifluous Vox Rea released “When You Go,” which describes the heartache and longing that comes when a relationship is torn apart.  Its bittersweet narrative, along with the gentle sounds of strings and piano, make this one of the more tender singles from the group this year.  The track is all a part of the band’s reintroduction, continuing on with the dreamy, atmospheric sound they established at the end of last year.  As “When You Go” continues to resonate with listeners around the world, Vox Rea have released a live video for the track, showcasing the band in a natural light – literally.

In the video, which you can check out below, we see members of Vox Rea seated together, surrounded by green plants, pinecones, and twinkling lights.  These props, along with the natural light coming in from the nearby windows, create a cozy, relaxed environment that goes well with the band’s aesthetic.  As we watch Lauren, Kate, and Mitchell strum their instruments, we get lost in the warm aura they project.

About “When You Go,” the band revealed, “If you love someone, let them go.  This song explores the feeling of knowing that you have to leave someone that you love behind.  The song was a much needed catharsis for us and we hope that it can be that for you.”  You definitely feel more invested in the story after taking in the band’s live performance.
