Gwyn Love teams up with Canadian producer/ artist La+ch on “Shit I Like” | Canadian Beats

Making her debut just last summer, electro-pop artist Gwyn Love is back, this time teaming up with Canadian producer/ artist, La+ch on her new release, “Shit I Like”, available now via BC’s own 604 Records.

Known for blending a punk mentality with an electro-pop vibe, the new release maintain’s Gwyn’s infectious attitude while turning up the voltage on her electronic, danceable atmosphere.

While the track drips in confidence, “Shit I Like” was born out of a moment of anxiety and self-doubt that Gwyn Love converted into an empowering anthem to lift others out of the fog.

I really needed this song when I wrote it,” she says. “We all have to be reminded sometimes that it’s okay to take a break from everything and just do shit that you enjoy and makes you feel in tune with yourself.

On the inspiration behind the new track, Gwyn Love shares,

“I was in Vancouver, my first time out of the United States, all by myself, recording music. I felt extremely stressed because I didn’t feel I was performing as I knew I could in the session that day. I went to my airbnb and sat on the couch and started thinking of things I could do to relax and take some of the pressure off so I would feel more like myself and perform better the next day. It’s a reminder to me that no matter how stressed I get, there are skills I have learned that help me not go overboard with stressing. It’s okay to sit back and let yourself unwind every so often, it’s actually very much needed. My boi La+ch’s production on this song really brought it all together and made it the “dance in your room by yourself” song that I really wanted it to be.”
