Exclusive Premiere: The Vidos Parody Reality Talent Shows for New Video for “Boomshackalacka” | Aesthetic Magazine

Vancouver-based pop-rock band The Vidos, are back with their new video for their new single “Boomshackalacka”. Watch it exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.

Directed by Rock Is Dead Records co-founder Dave Benedict, the music video for “Boomshackalacka” was filmed at Fernridge Hall in Brookswood, BC. The video is super fun and follows the band as they compete in a fictional contest called So You Think You Don’t Suck, hosted by adult entertainer Robby Hurricane. The comical plot was conceptualized by band member Nolan Nielsen after binge watching one too many episodes of America’s Got Talent during his recovery from wisdom tooth surgery.

With an affinity for fuzzy pop hooks, creative drumming and stacked harmonies, The Vidos is the project of Vancouver pals Brett Hornall, Kirk Musfelt and Nolan Nielsen. The group began performing together early on, playing Rush covers at their high school dances. The band would go on to spend the next three years writing, recording and touring across Canada before hunkering down in a converted shuttle buss in downtown Toronto for the winter of 2019, where their material for their forthcoming album would come to life.

Known for their witty lyrics and onstage banter, The Vidos have gradually cultivated their live show into an immersive, genre-bending, fourth wall-shattering performance and have become one of Canada’s most promising and unpredictable groups in the process.
