Toronto, ON - Grammy nominated trio, HANSON, have announced the Canadian release of their fifth studio album, Shout It Out, on April 3, 2012 (3CG Records/604 Records/Universal Music Canada). Debuting at #2 on the US Billboard Independent Album chart, Shout It Out captures HANSON's soul-inspired brand of American pop-rock'n'roll. Released in Canada as a dual CD and live DVD package, the album will include 12 original tracks along with HANSON's Best of 5 Live DVD set which features live performances of the band's most iconic songs from their five album catalogue. Digitally, the album will be released in standard and deluxe versions. The deluxe digital version contains behind the scenes footage of the making of the album and video for their first single, "Thinking 'Bout Somethin'."

"One of our biggest goals was to bring Shout It Out to our international fans. We are thrilled that we are finally releasing the album in Canada," says keyboardist and singer Taylor Hanson.

Shout It Out pays homage to the music that inspired HANSON when they first started out, building a collection of finely crafted R&B- flavoured pop-rock melodies. The first single "Thinking 'Bout Somethin'," boasts a lively brass section with the group's signature three-part harmonies. For the video, directed by Todd Edwards (Hoodwinked), the band re-created a much-loved scene from the cult classic The Blues Brothers, where soul music incited a huge impromptu crowd to dance in the streets. In their re-creation, HANSON took to the streets of their hometown of Tulsa with more than 300 extras, including two of Taylor's children, 60 local dancers and hundreds of loyal fans who traveled from far and wide to participate. To top it off, Weird Al' Yankovic made an unforgettable guest appearance.

The band, who have sold over 16 million albums worldwide, have been releasing records independently since 2003 on their own label, 3CG Records, to media and fan acclaim alike. Recently completing the Canadian leg of their Shout It Out World Tour this past February, HANSON continue to earn praise for their songwriting, musicianship and dynamic live performances, with New York's Village Voice calling them the "Finest Straight-Up Rock Band In America."

HANSON will be available for select advance and in person interviews surrounding the album release and will be in Toronto April 3, 2012.
